Kenneth C. Gardiner, CPA, CCIFP, CDA is the partner in charge of assurance services and quality control. He is responsible for overseeing audit and accounting services to the construction industry; he was the first person in upstate New York to be given the designation of Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional (CCIFP). Ken also provides services to architects and engineers, manufacturing companies, and has extensive experience with audits of employee benefit plans. He has been involved with consulting projects and auditing of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) overhead rates. In addition, Ken has had direct responsibility for many consulting services provided to our clientele, including development of financial reporting systems. Ken is the partner-in-charge of our internal technology department and is responsible for maintaining the state-of-the-art equipment for the Firm.
Ken is committed to many industry and community organizations. He serves as Chairman and President of the Greater Syracuse Business Development Corporation (GSBDC) and Treasurer of the Board of Directors of the Onondaga County Water Authority (OCWA). Ken also serves on Cazenovia College’s Board of Trustees as Audit Committee Chair, as well as the past President of the McMahon/Ryan Child Advocacy Site and Treasurer of the Empire State Chapter of Associated Builders and Constructors (ABC). He is a Founding Member of the Central New York State Chapter of Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA) and has served as the Secretary/Treasurer since its inception. Ken serves as Chair of the New York State Society of CPA’s Construction Contractors Committee and co-chairs its annual conference. He also serves as President of the Executive Board of Construction Industry CPA’s and Consultants (CICPAC) and is President of the Board of Optimists International of Lafayette, New York.
